We held a press conference, bringing together a coalition of civil society groups to express solidarity with the people of South Sudan. Our press release highlighted the importance of the Tumaini peace talks- a diplomatic effort to foster lasting peace in South Sudan after years of conflict.

The speakers at the press conference emphasized the importance of sustained international support for the peace process in South Sudan. They called on the African Union, United Nations, and other Global partners to strengthen their commitment to the peace process. 

Ustawi Kenya and representatives from various civil society groups present pledged to continue supporting peace efforts in South Sudan and work collaboratively to advocate for sustainable peace in the region.
